Important information about remote sessions via TVQS:
In the case of a remote support session, where we may utilize an encrypted connection to connect and provide technical support or training, no PHI data is ever transmitted or copied to our systems.
These remote sessions require the local site to initiate the session and provide us with details to connect. We use TeamViewer QuickSupport (a portable version), and the local users are able to end the session at any time by closing the portable application.
TeamViewer requires an internet connection. If a system is not kept online, a site may connect the system to the internet temporarily, solely for the purpose of us providing support. After this, the internet connection can be removed.
Special circumstances may require you to use other connection methods but TVQS is the best way for us to properly support your Konan devices. If applicable, please have your IT team unblock TeamViewer from your network gateway/firewall (even if temporarily), using the information below.
TCP/UDP port 5938
- This is the primary port used by TeamViewer.
- It offers the best performance and reliability.
- Your firewall should allow outbound TCP and UDP traffic to master*.teamviewer.com and router*.teamviewer.com.
Additional information can be found on TeamViewer's website.
