We understand that many organizations may want to centrally manage their network resources to simplify security, updates, and authentication.
While we cannot speak on all the potential controls or customizations your organization may push through group policy, it is perfectly fine to join your specular microscope's computer to a network domain.
However, we recommend that your users still log into the local "user" account when using CellChek devices, as they contains numerous customizations for a smooth user experience. Otherwise, domain users will need desktop shortcuts setup to run the software easily.
For exporting records to a network location, for EMR purposes, we simply recommend using a mapped drive and saving the credentials. Adding the device to a network domain is not necessary for this.
We also recommend whitelisting a number of files and folders to prevent any performance issues or false positive detections that may remove critical files required to run your Konan product's software.
Below is a list of file, folder, and hardware device exclusions that should be provided to your IT security personnel to be added to the solution's Whitelist / Allowlist.
